Northfield F5 'Wide Nut' Sunburst 2024

Northfield werd opgericht door Adrian Lucas, een luthier die zijn sporen verdiende bij enkele van de meest gerenommeerde mandolinebouwers in de VS. Het merk heeft zich razendsnel een plaats veroverd in de bluegrass- en folkwereld, mede dankzij hun focus op traditionele bouwmethoden. De 'Workshop' serie is Northfield's antwoord op muzikanten die de kwaliteit van een handgebouwde mandoline willen, maar dan tegen een toegankelijkere prijs dan hun high-end Custom modellen. 

Deze F5 heeft alles wat je verwacht van een serieuze mandoline: de klassieke scroll, f-gaten die voor optimale resonantie zorgen, en een nitrocellulose lak die het hout laat ademen. Het V-profiel van de hals ligt comfortabel in de hand voor zowel akkoordspel als snelle loopjes, terwijl de ebben toets en brug zorgen voor heldere articulatie. Met de Gotoh stemmechanieken blijft alles perfect gestemd, zelfs tijdens intensieve jamsessies.

This F5 has everything you'd expect from a serious mandolin: the classic scroll, f-holes that provide optimal resonance, and a nitrocellulose finish that lets the wood breathe. The V-profile neck sits comfortably in the hand for both chord work and fast runs, while the ebony fingerboard and bridge ensure clear articulation. With Gotoh tuning machines, everything stays perfectly in tune, even during intensive jam sessions.
