Perhaps the most prized vintage D28's are those from 1937, featuring forward shifted scalloped X-bracing, an Adirondack spruce top, and a 1 3/4" nut width. A true 1937 D28 is hard to find, but Martin has made this iconic guitar more accessible with the Authentic Series!

Om het geluid van Braziliaans palissander zo nauwkeurig mogelijk te benaderen heeft Martin gekozen voor Madagascar palissander, dat zeer vergelijkbaar klinkt met het felbegeerde Braziliaans palissander. Martin's VTS (Vintage Tone System) is ook toegepast op zowel het Adirondack sparren bovenblad als de bracing. Het Martin Vintage Tone System gebruikt een uniek recept dat gebaseerd is op het historische torrefactie systeem. Het VTS werkt als een tijdmachine waarin Martin bepaalde tijdsperioden kan selecteren en het bovenblad en de bracing kan laten verouderen naar dat tijdperk.
Deze gerichte methode stelt Martin's vakmannen en -vrouwen in staat om niet alleen de aangename visuele esthetiek van een vintage gitaar te recreëren, maar ook om de speciale tonen te reproduceren die voorheen voorbehouden waren aan vintage instrumenten.
Deze gitaar verliet de Martin fabriek in 2018 en heeft wat lichte speelsporen op de body en de slagplaat. Hij is door de jaren heen goed onderhouden en verkeert nog steeds in excellente conditie. In order to accurately reproduce the sound of Brazilian rosewood, Martin chose Madagascar rosewood, which sounds very similar to the coveted Brazilian rosewood. Martin’s VTS (Vintage Tone System) is also applied to both the Adirondack spruce top and bracing. The Martin Vintage Tone System uses a unique recipe based on the historical torrefaction system. The VTS works like a time machine, allowing Martin to select specific time periods and age the top and bracing to that era.
This focused method allows Martin’s craftsmen and women to not only recreate the pleasing visual aesthetic of a vintage guitar, but also to reproduce the special tones that were previously reserved for vintage instruments.
This guitar left the Martin factory in 2018 and has some light playwear on the body and pickguard. It has been well maintained over the years and is still in excellent condition. The guitar comes in its original hardshell case, along with a certificate of authenticity and a TFOA passport.

Um den Klang des brasilianischen Palisanders so genau wie möglich zu erreichen, wählte Martin Madagaskar-Palisander, der dem begehrten brasilianischen Palisander sehr ähnlich klingt. Martins VTS (Vintage Tone System) wurde auch auf die Decke aus Adirondack-Fichte und die Beleistung angewendet. Das Martin Vintage Tone System verwendet ein einzigartiges Rezept, das auf dem historischen Torrefizierungssystem basiert. Das VTS funktioniert wie eine Zeitmaschine, in der Martin bestimmte Zeiträume auswählen und die Spitze altern und sich auf diese Ära einstellen kann.
Diese gezielte Methode ermöglicht es den Handwerkern von Martin, nicht nur die ansprechende visuelle Ästhetik einer Vintage-Gitarre nachzubilden, sondern auch die besonderen Töne zu reproduzieren, die bisher Vintage-Instrumenten vorbehalten waren.
Diese Gitarre verließ die Martin-Fabrik im Jahr 2018 und weist leichte Spielspuren am Korpus und am Schlagbrett auf. Es wurde im Laufe der Jahre gut gepflegt und ist immer noch in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Die Gitarre wird im Original-Hartschalenkoffer sowie einem Echtheitszertifikat und einem TFOA-Pass geliefert.
