Deze Gibson Custom Shop '56 Reissue vangt het uiterlijk, het gevoel en het schroeiende geluid van een originele Les Paul uit 1956 tot in de kleinste details. Een Les Paul Reissue van de Custom Shop is niet alleen een eerbetoon aan de waardevolle originele modellen; het is er een kloon van. Hij vertegenwoordigt het hoogtepunt van tientallen jaren werk door het deskundige team van Custom Shop; een onvermoeibare zoektocht om nauwkeurigheid en authenticiteit in de handen van fans te brengen.
1956 was het enige volledige jaar waarin het Les Paul-model de krachtige P90-pickups en de verstelbare ABR-1-brug had, een combinatie waardoor het Les Paul-model een intonatie en sustain kreeg als nooit tevoren. De ABR-1 tune-o-matic brug, stopbar-staartstuk, P90's met crèmekleurige covers en zelfs de naam 'Les Paul Model' op de kop laten nauwkeurig de magie zien van een mid-50s Les Paul. In plaats van de Goldtop-afwerking die de Les Paul's uit 1956 sierde, hebben we ervoor gekozen om deze M2M een British Racing Green-afwerking te geven. Gibsons M2M, Made 2 Measure, programma biedt mensen de mogelijkheid om iets anders te creeren dan de standaard Custom Shop-modellen die gemaakt worden.
Samen met de Murphy Lab relic ademt hij een goed ingespeelde vintage vibe en het ziet er ook gewoon heel cool uit! It represents the culmination of decades of work by the Custom Shop's expert team, a tireless quest to bring accuracy and authenticity into the hands of fans.
1956 was the only full year the Les Paul model featured the powerful P90 pickups and adjustable ABR-1 bridge, a combination that gave the Les Paul model intonation and sustain like never before. The ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, cream-covered P90s, and even the "Les Paul Model" name on the headstock accurately capture the magic of a mid-50s Les Paul. Instead of the Goldtop finish that graced the 1956 Les Pauls, we opted to give this M2M a British Racing Green finish. Gibson’s M2M, Made 2 Measure, program gives people the opportunity to create something different than the standard Custom Shop models that are made.
Paired with the Murphy Lab relic, it exudes a well-played vintage vibe and it just looks really cool! The Murphy Lab Heavy Aged finish, combined with aged hardware, simulates decades of heavy play wear, giving it the unique character, vibe and feel of an original from the Gibson Golden Era.
