Deering Goodtime 19-Fret Tenor Banjo
De Goodtime Openback 19-Fret Tenor is gebaseerd op Deering’s populaire Goodtime-model en wordt standaard gestemd in kwinten (C-G-D-A), net als een altviool of cello. Deze stemming is geliefd in zowel traditionele jazz als Ierse muziek, en met een alternatieve snaarset kan ook de Ierse G-D-A-E stemming gebruikt worden. The Goodtime Openback 19-Fret Tenor is based on Deering's popular Goodtime model and is standardly tuned in fifths (C-G-D-A), just like a viola or cello. This tuning is popular in both traditional jazz and Irish music, and with an alternative string set, the Irish G-D-A-E tuning can also be used. Thanks to its short scale, narrow neck, and open back, this instrument is comfortable to hold and delivers bright, direct tones with just the right amount of sustain and definition for tenor banjo playing.
