Andy Manson behoort tot de meest gerespecteerde gitaarbouwers van Europa, en deze archtop toont precies waarom zijn instrumenten zo begeerd zijn onder kenners. Hij bouwde zijn reputatie op door decennia van verfijnd vakmanschap en innovatie, sinds hij in 1967 zijn eerste gitaar bouwde in Engeland. Deze 12-snarige gitaar is een perfect voorbeeld van Mansons vakmanschap, want al vanaf de eerste noten vóel je deze gitaar! De compacte body is zeer comfortabel, en dankzij het Soft V-profiel van de mahonie hals speelt de gitaar ook zeer soepel. Manson heeft voor de bouw van deze gitaar niet de minste materialen gebruikt, want naast een bovenblad van Alpine sparren vinden we een klankkast van Madagascar palissander. Deze palissandersoort wordt alom geroemd als de houtsoort die het legendarische Braziliaans palissander het dichtst benaderd, zowel qua klank als uiterlijk. Manson heeft verder uitgepakt met een prachtige esdoorn binding met verfijnde meerlijnige purfling, en deze details vinden we ook terug in de rozet. Manson used top-quality materials in the construction of this guitar, featuring an Alpine spruce top and Madagascar rosewood back and sides. This rosewood is widely praised as the wood that most closely resembles the legendary Brazilian rosewood, both in sound and appearance. Manson has also gone all out with a beautiful maple binding with refined multi-line purfling, a detail that can also be found in the rosette. To emphasize this guitar's premium status, the bridge, fingerboard, and headstock overlay are made of ebony.
