De ES355 werd in 1958 ontwikkeld om de sustain en feedback van een solidbody gitaar te combineren met het comfort en het gewicht van de hollowbodies, en was het pronkstuk van de Electric Spanish series. Dit pronkstuk werd en wordt nog steeds uitgevoerd met weelderige parelmoer 'block' inleg in de ebben toets, 'Split Diamond' inleg in de kop en gouden hardware, wat hem onderscheidt van zijn ingetogen broers.
De ES355 uit 1959 werd normaliter uitgevoerd met een Bigsby en stereo electronica met de welbekende Variotone schakelaar. Deze Reissue pakt echter de zeldzame versie met een stopbar of stoptail en mono elektronica, die veel spelers prefereren.
Deze 1959 ES355 Stop Bar bevat verder het te verwachten recept van een gelamineerde esdoorn/populier klankkast met centerblock, een mahoniehouten hals met een 'Authentic '59 Medium' C-vorm, en een ebben toets, met long tenon hals-verbinding en bevestigd met 'hide glue'.
Gibson's Custombucker pickups leveren klassieke PAF klanken die warm, rijk en dynamisch zijn, met voldoende helderheid, wat ze erg veelzijdig maakt. Deze pickups zijn misschien wel Gibson's meest accurate P.A.F. replica's. De Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged Ebony finish geeft samen met de gouden hardware een luxueus uiterlijk, met een mooie vervaagde look en bijpassende patina.

The ES355 was developed in 1958 to combine the sustain and feedback of a solidbody guitar with the comfort and weight of hollowbodies, and was the showpiece of the Electric Spanish series. This showpiece was and still is equipped with opulent mother-of-pearl 'block' inlays in the ebony fingerboard, 'Split Diamond' inlays in the headstock and gold hardware, setting it apart from its more modest brothers.

This 1959 ES355 Stop Bar also features the expected recipe of a laminated maple/poplar back and sides with center block, a mahogany neck with an 'Authentic '59 Medium' C-shape, and an ebony fingerboard, with long tenon neck joint and attached with 'hide glue'.
Gibson's Custombucker pickups deliver classic PAF tones that are warm, rich and dynamic, with sufficient clarity, making them very versatile. These pickups are perhaps Gibson's most accurate P.A.F. replicas. The Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged Ebony finish together with the gold hardware gives a luxurious appearance, with a beautiful faded look and matching patina.
The guitar comes with a TFOA passport in a hardshell case.

Diese ES355 Stop Bar von 1959 zeichnet sich ebenfalls durch die gewohnte Kombination aus laminiertem Ahorn-/Pappelboden und -zargen mit Centerblock, einem Mahagonihals mit „Authentic '59 Medium“-C-Form und einem Ebenholzgriffbrett mit langer Zapfenverbindung aus, das mit Hautleim befestigt ist.
Gibsons Custombucker-Tonabnehmer liefern klassische PAF-Sounds – warm, satt und dynamisch, mit ausreichend Klarheit, was sie vielseitig einsetzbar macht. Diese Tonabnehmer sind wohl Gibsons präziseste PAF-Repliken. Das Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged Ebony-Finish in Kombination mit der goldenen Hardware verleiht der Gitarre ein luxuriöses Erscheinungsbild mit wunderschön verblasstem Look und passender Patina.
Die Gitarre wird mit einem TFOA-Pass in einem Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
