Fender Stratocaster Sunburst 1974/1976

Stratocasters uit de jaren ’70 staan bekend om hun grote headstock en flinke gewicht. Dit exemplaar is relatief licht voor die periode en weegt 3,68 kg. De gitaar heeft een alder body met Sunburst afwerking en een esdoorn hals met een comfortabele C-profiel.

De originele drie single-coil pickups zijn nog aanwezig. Ook de potentiometers zijn origineel, al is de pickup switch vervangen door een veelzijdigere 5-weg schakelaar. Het tremolosysteem is vervangen voor een moderner exemplaar dat betere stemvastheid biedt, maar het originele tremolo wordt meegeleverd mocht je het terug willen zetten. De frets zijn vervangen door duurzame stainless steel frets, wat de bespeelbaarheid ten goede komt.

De jaren ’70 waren een bijzondere periode voor Fender, en deze Stratocaster laat dat goed zien. De serienummer op de neck plate wijst op 1974, de potmeters zijn van 1975, en de hals is gestempeld in 1976. Waarschijnlijk is deze gitaar dus opgebouwd uit beschikbare onderdelen en uiteindelijk geassembleerd in 1976.

De gitaar verkeert in uitstekende staat en wordt geleverd met gigbag en een TFOA-paspoort.

Stratocasters from the 1970s are known for their large headstocks and considerable weight. This particular example, however, is relatively light for its era, weighing in at 3.68 kg. It features an alder body with a Sunburst finish and a maple neck with a comfortable C-shaped profile.

The guitar still has its original trio of single-coil pickups. The potentiometers are also original, though the pickup selector has been replaced with a more versatile 5-way switch. The tremolo has been swapped for a modern unit to improve tuning stability, but the original tremolo is included should you want to restore it. The frets have also been replaced with durable stainless steel ones for enhanced playability.

The '70s were a curious time for Fender, and this Stratocaster is a perfect example of that. While the serial number on the neck plate dates it to 1974, the pots are from 1975 and the neck is stamped 1976. Most likely, this guitar was assembled from available parts and completed in 1976.

It’s in excellent condition and comes in a gig bag, along with a TFOA passport.

Stratocasters aus den 1970er Jahren sind bekannt für ihre großen Kopfplatten und ihr hohes Gewicht. Dieses besondere Exemplar ist jedoch mit 3,68 kg für seine Zeit relativ leicht. Sie hat einen Erle-Korpus mit Sunburst-Lackierung und einen Ahornhals mit einem bequemen C-Profil.


Die Gitarre hat noch ihr originales Trio von Singlecoil-Pickups. Die Potentiometer sind ebenfalls original, allerdings wurde der Pickup-Wahlschalter durch einen vielseitigeren 5-Wege-Schalter ersetzt. Das Tremolo wurde gegen eine moderne Einheit ausgetauscht, um die Stimmstabilität zu verbessern, aber das originale Tremolo ist im Lieferumfang enthalten, falls Sie es restaurieren möchten. Auch die Bünde wurden durch langlebige Edelstahlbünde ersetzt, um die Spielbarkeit zu verbessern.


Die 70er Jahre waren für Fender eine interessante Zeit, und diese Stratocaster ist ein perfektes Beispiel dafür. Während die Seriennummer auf der Halsplatte sie auf 1974 datiert, sind die Potis von 1975 und der Hals ist mit 1976 gestempelt. Höchstwahrscheinlich wurde diese Gitarre aus verfügbaren Teilen zusammengebaut und 1976 fertiggestellt.


Sie ist in ausgezeichnetem Zustand und wird in einer Gigbag zusammen mit einem TFOA-Pass geliefert.
