The Gibson Custom L 1 Anniversary Limited Edition in Cremona Burst celebrates 100 years of Gibson flat top acoustic guitars. Inspired by the original L 1 models introduced in 1926, this limited edition pays tribute to one of the most historically significant acoustic designs ever produced by Gibson.

De L 1 wordt sterk geassocieerd met legendarische bluesmuzikanten en vooral met Robert Johnson. Dankzij de compacte body, 12 fret neck en karakteristieke warmte levert deze gitaar een intieme, houtachtige klank met veel definitie. Daardoor is hij uitermate geschikt voor fingerstyle spel, maar ook zeer overtuigend met een flatpick.
Deze L 1 is gebouwd in de Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana en beschikt over een massief mahogany back en sides in combinatie met een thermally aged red spruce top en traditionele scalloped X bracing. De 25" scale mahogany neck sluit aan op de body bij de 12e fret en heeft een Historic V profile, een ebony fingerboard met 19 frets en mother of pearl dot inlays. Over de gehele gitaar is cream binding aangebracht, inclusief top, back, sides, langs de toets, rondom de headstock en zelfs rond het klankgat.
De headstock is voorzien van three on a plate open back tuners met cream buttons en draagt een vintage style The Gibson logo in mother of pearl, gecombineerd met een two ply truss rod cover met de gravure Anniversary. De rechthoekige ebony bridge is uitgevoerd met carved pyramid wings en uitgerust met een bone saddle en bone bridge pins.
De diepe en glanzende Cremona Burst nitrocellulose lacquer finish geeft deze gitaar een tijdloze uitstraling. Slechts 100 exemplaren worden wereldwijd gebouwd. De gitaar wordt geleverd in een L 1 hardshell case en is voorzien van een Certificate of Authenticity.

Der Mahagoni-Hals mit einer Mensur von 25 Zoll ist am 12. Bund mit dem Korpus verbunden und verfügt über ein Historic V-Profil, ein Ebenholzgriffbrett mit 19 Bünden und Perlmutt-Punkt-Inlays. Cremefarbene Einfassungen finden sich überall, einschließlich der Decke, des Bodens, der Zargen, der Griffbrettkanten, der Kopfplatte und sogar des Schalllochs.
Die Kopfplatte ist mit drei offenen Stimmmechaniken mit cremefarbenen Knöpfen ausgestattet und verfügt über ein Gibson-Logo im Vintage-Stil aus Perlmutt sowie eine zweilagige Halsstabsabdeckung mit der Gravur „Anniversary“. Die rechteckige Ebenholzbrücke ist mit geschnitzten Pyramidenflügeln, einem Knochensattel und Knochenstimmwirbeln ausgestattet.
Diese Gitarre ist mit einem tiefen und glänzenden Cremona Burst Nitrocelluloselack lackiert und weltweit auf nur 100 Stück limitiert. Sie wird in einem L 1 Hartschalenkoffer geliefert und enthält ein Echtheitszertifikat.
