De Music Man Pino Palladino '79 StingRay is een eerbetoon aan een van de meest invloedrijke bassisten ooit, ontworpen naar het voorbeeld van zijn legendarische fretless StingRay uit 1979. Deze signature bas is verkrijgbaar in zowel fretted als fretless uitvoering, elk met een geluid en speelgevoel dat direct herkenbaar is als Pino. De combinatie van een populieren body in ’79 Burst, een donkergetinte esdoorn hals met dun palissander toets en een asymmetrisch halsprofiel geeft deze bas niet alleen een vintage uitstraling, maar ook een uniek speelcomfort dat trouw blijft aan het origineel.

De speciaal ontwikkelde humbucker, met kortere pole pieces zoals in de late jaren 70, werkt perfect samen met de aangepaste preamp die het warme en gedefinieerde karakter van Pino’s originele elektronica benadert. Verder is deze bas uitgerust met messing zadels, een GraphTech NuBone topkam en een Artist Series neck plate. De fretted versie wordt geleverd met Pino Signature Smoothie flatwounds voor diepte en punch, terwijl de fretless variant voorzien is van op maat gekozen Ernie Ball Slinky snaren voor soepele, expressieve slides. Beide modellen worden geleverd in een robuuste Mono Case, klaar voor het podium én de studio!

The Music Man Pino Palladino '79 StingRay is a tribute to one of the most influential bassists of all time, designed in the image of his legendary fretless StingRay from 1979. This signature bass is available in both fretted and fretless versions, each with a sound and feel that are instantly recognizable as Pino. The combination of a poplar body in '79 Burst, a dark-tinted maple neck with a thin rosewood fingerboard, and an asymmetrical neck profile gives this bass not only a vintage look but also a unique playing comfort that remains true to the original.


The specially developed humbucker, with shorter pole pieces like those used in the late 1970s, works perfectly with the modified preamp, which approximates the warm and defined character of Pino's original electronics. Furthermore, this bass is equipped with brass saddles, a GraphTech NuBone nut, and an Artist Series neck plate. The fretted version comes with Pino Signature Smoothie flatwounds for depth and punch, while the fretless version features custom-chosen Ernie Ball Slinky strings for smooth, expressive slides. Both models come in a robust mono case, ready for both stage and studio use!

Dieser Signature-Bass ist sowohl in bundierten als auch in bundlosen Versionen erhältlich, jeweils mit einem Klang und Spielgefühl, das sofort als Pino erkennbar ist. Die Kombination aus einem Pappelkorpus in '79 Burst, einem dunkel getönten Ahornhals mit dünnem Palisandergriffbrett und einem asymmetrischen Halsprofil verleiht diesem Bass nicht nur einen Vintage-Look, sondern auch einen einzigartigen Spielkomfort, der dem Original treu bleibt.


Der speziell entwickelte Humbucker mit kürzeren Polstücken, wie sie in den späten 1970er Jahren verwendet wurden, harmoniert perfekt mit dem modifizierten Vorverstärker, der den warmen und definierten Charakter von Pinos Originalelektronik nachahmt. Darüber hinaus ist dieser Bass mit Messing-Saitenreitern, einem GraphTech NuBone-Sattel und einer Halsplatte der Artist Series ausgestattet. Die bundierte Version kommt mit Pino Signature Smoothie Flatwounds für Tiefe und Punch, während die bundlose Version mit speziell ausgewählten Ernie Ball Slinky-Saiten für sanfte, ausdrucksstarke Slides ausgestattet ist. Beide Modelle werden in einem robusten Mono-Case geliefert und sind sowohl für den Bühnen- als auch für den Studioeinsatz geeignet!
