Blazer Larson Brothers Model Indian Rosewood Spruce 1983

Rudolph Blazer begon zijn carrière als gitaarbouwer in 1971 bij een grote gitaarbouwer in Duitsland. Na jarenlang reparatiewerk begon hij zijn eigen werkplaats in Stuttgart. In 1980 verhuisde hij naar Tübingen om daar te beginnen met het bouwen van traditionele steelstring gitaren.

Dit op een model van Larson Brothers geïnspireerde model werd zoals op het label te lezen is in 1983 gebouwd voor de Duitse gitarist Fritz Blessing, en is in het bijzonder gebaseerd op een model dat gebruikt werd door Marjorie Lynn, die net als de Larson Brothers van Zweedse oorsprong was en naar Amerika was geëmigreerd. De gitaar heeft een forse klankkast; het profiel doet zonder meer denken aan een Jumbo, maar de body is met zijn 100 millimeter ook opvallend ondiep.

Het vakmanschap straalt af van elk detail van dit instrument. De combinatie van massief Indisch palissander voor de klankkast met een massief sparren bovenblad zorgt voor een rijke, complexe klank met sprankelende hoge tonen. De non-scalloped X-bracing geeft de gitaar extra stabiliteit en draagt bij aan zijn volle geluid.

De visuele uitstraling wordt versterkt door de subtiele witte binding die een prachtige aanvulling is op de natuurlijke finish, terwijl de abalone purfling en rozet samen met de opvallende tortoise slagplaat voor een stijlvolle uitstraling zorgen. De mahonie hals met zijn comfortabele C-profiel en ebben toets zorgt voor een prettige bespeelbaarheid, terwijl de Grover Rotomatic stemmechanieken in goud voor betrouwbare stemvastheid zorgen.

Deze Blazer heeft speelsporen op de body en hals, met daarbij ook meerdere dings en een gerepareerde crack op het bovenblad. Verder is op de headstock een deel van de binding gerepareerd, en er is ook ooit een refret uitgevoerd. De gitaar verkeert in zeer goede conditie en wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer.

Consignatie.

Rudolph Blazer began his career as a guitar builder in 1971 with a large guitar maker in Germany. After years of repair work, he started his own workshop in Stuttgart. In 1980, he moved to Tübingen to start building traditional steel string guitars.

This model, inspired by a Larson Brothers model, was built in 1983 for German guitarist Fritz Blessing, as can be read on the label, and is specifically based on a model used by Marjorie Lynn, who, like the Larson Brothers, was of Swedish origin and had emigrated to America. The guitar has a large body; the profile is definitely reminiscent of a Jumbo, but the body is also noticeably shallow at 100 millimeters.

The craftsmanship radiates from every detail of this instrument. The combination of solid Indian rosewood for the back and sides and a solid spruce top provides a rich, complex sound with sparkling high notes. The non-scalloped X-bracing gives the guitar extra stability and contributes to its full sound.

The visual appeal is enhanced by the subtle white binding that beautifully complements the natural finish, while the abalone purfling and rosette together with the striking tortoise pickguard provide a stylish look. The mahogany neck with its comfortable C-profile and ebony fingerboard provides a pleasant playability, while the Grover Rotomatic tuners in gold ensure reliable tuning stability.

This Blazer has playwear on the body and neck, with several dings and a repaired crack on the top. Furthermore, part of the binding on the headstock has been repaired, and a refret has also been performed at some point. The guitar is in very good condition and comes with a TFOA passport in a hardshell case.

Die Handwerkskunst strahlt aus jedem Detail dieses Instruments. Die Kombination aus massivem indischem Palisander für Boden und Zargen und einer massiven Fichtendecke sorgt für einen reichen, komplexen Klang mit funkelnden hohen Tönen. Das non-scalloped X-Bracing verleiht der Gitarre zusätzliche Stabilität und trägt zu ihrem vollen Klang bei.

Die Optik wird durch das dezente weiße Binding verstärkt, das das natürliche Finish wunderbar ergänzt, während die Abalone-Einlage und Rosette zusammen mit dem markanten Schildpatt-Schlagbrett für einen stilvollen Look sorgen. Der Mahagonihals mit seinem komfortablen C-Profil und dem Ebenholzgriffbrett bietet eine angenehme Bespielbarkeit, während die Grover Rotomatic-Mechaniken in Gold für eine zuverlässige Stimmstabilität sorgen.

Dieser Blazer weist Spielspuren am Korpus und Hals auf, mit mehreren Dellen und einem reparierten Riss auf der Oberseite. Darüber hinaus wurde ein Teil des Bindings an der Kopfplatte repariert, und irgendwann wurde auch eine Neubundierung durchgeführt. Die Gitarre ist in sehr gutem Zustand und wird mit einem TFOA-Pass in einem Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
