De Standard-serie is een eerbetoon aan Paul Reed Smiths vroegste gitaren uit de tijd vóór zijn fabriek, toen hij nog volledig op mahonie vertrouwde. Waar veel moderne gitaren een esdoorn cap hebben voor extra helderheid, kiest PRS hier bewust voor de warmere, vollere midrange die alleen mahonie kan leveren. Het resultaat is een gitaar die de vintage charme van Pauls handgemaakte instrumenten combineert met de betrouwbaarheid en consistentie van de moderne PRS-productie.

Onder de motorkap vind je de nieuwe DMO pickups, die Paul samen met zijn engineering team ontwikkelde na jaren van onderzoek naar vintage pickups. Deze 'Dynamic, Musical, Open' pickups hebben een open karakter met vocale eigenschappen, wat betekent dat ze heldere, aangename tonen leveren over het hele frequentiespectrum. De Pattern Thin hals met 24 frets op een 10" radius palissander toets zorgt voor uitstekende bespeelbaarheid, terwijl de PRS Patented Tremolo en Phase III stemmechanieken de betrouwbaarheid garanderen die je van PRS verwacht.

De gitaar wordt met TFOA paspoort geleverd in een koffer.

The Standard series is a tribute to Paul Reed Smith’s earliest guitars from the days before his factory relied solely on mahogany. While many modern guitars have a maple cap for added brightness, PRS deliberately opts for the warmer, fuller midrange that only mahogany can deliver. The result is a guitar that combines the vintage charm of Paul’s handmade instruments with the reliability and consistency of modern PRS manufacturing.


Under the hood you’ll find the new DMO pickups, which Paul and his engineering team developed after years of research into vintage pickups. These ‘Dynamic, Musical, Open’ pickups have an open character with vocal characteristics, meaning they deliver clear, pleasing tones across the entire frequency spectrum. The Pattern Thin neck with 24 frets on a 10" radius rosewood fingerboard provides excellent playability, while the PRS Patented Tremolo and Phase III tuners ensure the reliability you expect from PRS.


The guitar comes with a TFOA passport in a hardshell case.

Die Standard-Serie ist eine Hommage an Paul Reed Smiths früheste Gitarren aus der Zeit, bevor seine Fabrik ausschließlich auf Mahagoni setzte. Während viele moderne Gitarren eine Ahorndecke für mehr Helligkeit besitzen, setzt PRS bewusst auf den wärmeren, volleren Mitteltonbereich, den nur Mahagoni liefern kann. Das Ergebnis ist eine Gitarre, die den Vintage-Charme von Pauls handgefertigten Instrumenten mit der Zuverlässigkeit und Beständigkeit moderner PRS-Fertigung verbindet.


Im Inneren verbergen sich die neuen DMO-Tonabnehmer, die Paul und sein Ingenieurteam nach jahrelanger Forschung an Vintage-Tonabnehmern entwickelt haben. Diese „dynamischen, musikalischen, offenen“ Tonabnehmer haben einen offenen Charakter mit vokalen Charakteristika und liefern klare, angenehme Töne über das gesamte Frequenzspektrum. Der Pattern Thin-Hals mit 24 Bünden auf einem Palisandergriffbrett mit 10-Zoll-Radius bietet hervorragende Spielbarkeit, während das patentierte PRS-Tremolo und die Phase III-Mechaniken die von PRS gewohnte Zuverlässigkeit gewährleisten.


Die Gitarre wird mit einem TFOA-Pass in einem Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
