In 1974, Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug started Taylor Guitars. Which means they get to celebrate their 50th anniversary this year. And they will do so in grand fashion! This is your chance to own a piece of Taylor history!

Taylor's limited 50th Anniversary models!

Throughout 2024, Taylor will release a collection of premium limited edition guitars that honour the brand's rich history. Some guitars in the collection are inspired by players' favourite models over the years, such as the Grand Auditorium and the 814ce. Other guitars showcase exclusive woods, refined finishes and exacting craftsmanship, such as Taylor's Presentation Series.

As a tribute to Taylor's founding year, production of each ‘Anniversary’ model will be limited to no more than 1,974 guitars worldwide. These special models will only be made in 2024, so this is your chance to get your hands on a piece of Taylor history!

50th 314ce LTD

Introduced in 1994, the Grand Auditorium was immediately one of Taylor's most popular guitars. The size is right in between a Grand Concert and dreadnought, making this guitar very versatile. For its 50th anniversary, this classic Taylor model gets a few premium upgrades. Gemstone design inlays, a tobacco shaded edgeburst, a firestripe faux tortoise pickguard and a torrefied spruce top that adds an extra dash of responsiveness and warmth to its musical personality.

50th BE 814ce LTD

The much-loved Builders Edition 814ce also gets some premium upgrades this year. This limited-edition model features a sinker redwood top combined with Indian rosewood back and sides, complemented by a range of comfortable playing features: a 'beveled' armrest, cutaway, body contours and a Curve Wing bridge.

50th AD14ce-SB LTD

Of course, no American Dream guitar should be missing from this 50th Anniversary line. After all, it is the name of the music shop where co-founders Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug met. The AD14ce-SB LTD follows the same premium design of the series, combining versatility as a workhorse with an earthy, neo-vintage aesthetic appeal.

The walnut/spruce combination provides a warm, seasoned tone. And the beveled edges for an ultra-comfortable feel.

50th Taylor 217e-SB Plus LTD

The 217E-SB Plus 50e brings the neo-vintage sound of Taylor's Grand Pacific body shape to the 200 Series. Made with back and sides of Indian rosewood and a sitka spruce top, this acoustic round-shoulder dreadnought serves up powerful sound with a warm, seasoned character, with plenty of volume, sustain and low-end power thanks to the C-Class bracing inside. This guitar is equipped with a built-in ES-2 pickup.

50th GS Mini-e Rosewood SB LTD

The GS Mini was born in 2010 from the innovative mind of Bob Taylor. Since then, it has become perhaps Taylor's most popular guitar. For their 50th anniversary, Taylor has given this best-seller some elegant upgrades. A torrefied, vintage-sunburst top, firestripe pickguard, ES2 pickup and handsome anniversary finishes give this GS Mini a premium look and sound.

The GS Mini-e Rosewood SB LTD is an inviting and versatile guitar for musicians looking for a compact but sonically powerful instrument.

50th 614ce LTD

The 50th Anniversary 614ce LTD takes inspiration from the earliest guitars made by Bob Taylor. With its Trans White finish, white edgeburst and rich gloss finish, this limited edition cutaway Grand Auditorium introduces a stunning look to the Taylor line. Its solid Sitka spruce top and figured Big Leaf maple back and sides combine for a refined sound that balances a bright, lively midrange with pleasing sonic warmth.

50th 312ce Shaded Edgeburst LTD

Sapele, often compared to mahogany for its appearance and sound, was first added to the Taylor line-up in 1998. Since then, Taylor's sapele/spruce 300 Series guitars have welcomed countless players to the all-solid wood acoustic experience.

The limited-edition 50th Anniversary 312ce LTD celebrates and continues that tradition. The cutaway Grand Concert has solid sapele back and sides combined with a torrefied Sitka spruce top.

50th Builders Edition 812ce LTD 

The compact Grand Concert body style, with its shorter scale and friendly proportions, is known for its physical comfort and focused, articulate sound. This refined Builder's Edition Grand Concert offers an ultra-comfortable, hand-pleasing playing experience thanks to a ‘beveled’ armrest and Venetian cutaway, beveled edges and a Curve Wing bridge.


Sinker redwood from tree trunks submerged for decades in riverbeds in California offers a cedar-like sensitivity with enough headroom for more aggressive playing styles.
