Deze Taylor 514ce is onderdeel van de Urban Woods-serie en is de eerste gitaar die is uitgerust met Urban Ironbark. Deze houtsoort is ook bekend onder de naam Red Ironbark, en wordt gewonnen uit de stadsbossen in Californië.
Deze houtsoort heeft de fysieke eigenschappen van ebbenhout, maar de klankkarakteristiek van Indisch palissander. Het geeft de gitaar voldoende power, terwijl de klank uiterst gebalanceerd blijft over het gehele frequentiespectrum. Strummers zullen het volume en de projectie waarderen, terwijl fingerpickers op de definitie en het dynamisch bereik kunnen vertrouwen.
De gitaar is verder uitgerust met fraaie versieringen zoals een gedetailleerde purfling en rozet, en een sierlijke inleg op de ebben toets. Taylors eigen Expression System II zorgt ervoor dat de gitaar ook op het podium zijn mannetjes staat. De gitaar wordt geleverd in een koffer.
