McIlroy A56 Italian Spruce Madagascar Rosewood 2016

Het A-model is de middelgrote jumbo van McIlroy, ook wel bekend als een gitaar van auditoriumformaat. Dit is het meest populaire formaat van het merk en uiterst comfortabel om te spelen, terwijl hij een heldere, luchtige klank produceert met een enorm volume. Zoals altijd bij McIlroy is de bouw- en geluidkwaliteit van het allerhoogste niveau. Niet alleen het hout is bijzonder fraai maar ook de verfijnde klank is volledig in evenwicht met het uiterlijk.

Voor deze A56 heeft McIlroy gekozen voor een prachtige Madagascar palissander klankkast gecombineerd met een Italiaans sparren bovenblad. De figured Sycamore binding en de purfling van esdoorn, perenhout en palissander zorgen voor de versiering van de body, en de abalone rozet is de kers op de taart! De vijfdelige hals bestaat uit mahonie, esdoorn en palissander, en is voorzien van een ebben toets en kopplaat. Ook hier spreekt de fabuleuze afwerking tot de verbeelding; de esdoorn purfling is zowel op de toets als onder de kopplaat zichtbaar, terwijl de 12e fret is versierd met een prachtige Keltische abalone inleg.

Deze McIlroy A56 is gebouwd in 2016, en verkeert in excellente conditie. De gitaar heeft speelsporen en dings opgelopen, en er is tevens een K&K Pure Mini pickup ingebouwd. Over het geheel gezien ziet de gitaar er netjes uit, maar neigt wel iets meer naar player grade dan de soms brandschone exemplaren die we soms tegenkomen. Desalniettemin is deze McIlroy een instrument dat erom vraagt om bespeeld te worden!

The A model is McIlroy’s mid-sized jumbo, also known as an auditorium-sized guitar. This is the brand’s most popular size and is extremely comfortable to play, while producing a clear, airy tone with enormous volume. As always with McIlroy, the build and sound quality is of the highest level. Not only is the wood particularly beautiful, but the refined tone is also in perfect harmony with the appearance.

For this A56, McIlroy has chosen a beautiful Madagascar rosewood back and sides combined with an Italian spruce top. The figured Sycamore binding and the purfling of maple, pearwood and rosewood provide the adornment of the body, and the abalone rosette is the icing on the cake! The five-piece neck consists of mahogany, maple and rosewood, and is fitted with an ebony fingerboard and headstock. Here too, the fabulous finish speaks to the imagination; the maple purfling is visible both on the fingerboard and under the headstock, while the 12th fret is decorated with a beautiful Celtic abalone inlay.

This McIlroy A56 was built in 2016, and is in excellent condition. The guitar has suffered playwear and dings, and it also has a K&K Pure Mini pickup built in. Overall, the guitar looks neat, but tends a bit more towards player grade than the sometimes spotless examples we sometimes come across. Nevertheless, this McIlroy is an instrument that begs to be played!

Das A-Modell ist McIlroys mittelgroße Jumbo-Gitarre, auch bekannt als Auditorium-Gitarre. Dies ist das beliebteste Format der Marke und äußerst angenehm zu spielen, während es einen hellen, luftigen Ton mit enormer Lautstärke erzeugt. Wie immer bei McIlroy ist die Verarbeitungs- und Klangqualität auf höchstem Niveau. Das Holz ist nicht nur besonders schön, auch der edle Klang harmoniert perfekt mit der Optik.

Für diese A56 hat McIlroy einen wunderschönen Boden und Zargen aus Madagaskar-Palisander kombiniert mit einer Decke aus italienischer Fichte gewählt. Die gemaserte Einfassung aus Bergahorn und die Einlagen aus Ahorn, Birnbaum und Palisander zieren den Korpus, und die Abalone-Rosette ist das i-Tüpfelchen! Der fünfteilige Hals besteht aus Mahagoni, Ahorn und Palisander und verfügt über ein Griffbrett und eine Kopfplatte aus Ebenholz. Auch hier regt die fabelhafte Verarbeitung die Fantasie an; Die Einlage aus Ahorn ist sowohl am Griffbrett als auch unter der Kopfplatte sichtbar, während der 12. Bund mit einer wunderschönen keltischen Abalone-Einlage verziert ist.

Dieser McIlroy A56 wurde 2016 gebaut und ist in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Die Gitarre weist einige Spielspuren und Beulen auf und verfügt außerdem über einen eingebauten K&K Pure Mini-Tonabnehmer. Im Großen und Ganzen sieht die Gitarre ordentlich aus, ist aber etwas mehr auf Spielerqualität ausgerichtet als die manchmal makellosen Gitarren, denen wir manchmal begegnen. Dennoch ist dieser McIlroy ein Instrument, das gespielt werden will!
