Since its founding in 1995, in Canterbury, England, Atkin has grown considerably. The team now consists of 16 luthiers and makes around 750 guitars a year. All made by hand.
Atkin guitars exude the irresistible allure of vintage instruments. This is partly due to the “baked” tops and braces. Inspired by the legendary models, these guitars in turn inspire players all over the world.

From a parlor to a jumbo, and everything in between. Atkin makes it! You decide which woods to use and which neck profile feels best. Your guitar not only sounds and feels special, but also looks unique. You choose your favourite inlays, pickguard and other decorative details. Want to give your slope shoulder or dreadnought some vintage character? Atkin provides a convincing relic.
Did you know that Atkin also builds electric guitars? Named after the iconic years of solidbody guitars, these T- and S-style models achieve the same high quality and accuracy as their acoustic guitars. Prefer something less traditional? Then be sure to check out their offset models: “The Mindhorn” and “The Boosh”.
