The L26 is an inspiring guitar, a true blues machine. With a compact mahogany body and baked Sitka spruce top, it has a sharp and dynamic sound that immediately brings to mind the legendary Robert Johnson. The neck has a C-profile, which, combined with the shorter scale length, results in a comfortable instrument. Every detail of the guitar looks and sounds like an authentic early 20th-century instrument.

And this L26 is no ordinary guitar! This custom model boasts several stunning design features that make it a truly exclusive instrument. For example, Atkin has chosen a beautiful Argentine Grey finish of lightly crackled nitrocellulose. The icing on the cake is the gold sparkle purfling and rosette, which give the guitar a truly exclusive look. What a beautiful instrument this is!

Atkin Guitars was founded by Alister Atkin in Canterbury, England, in 1995. What began as a one-man operation with just a handful of unique guitars each year has steadily grown into one of the most successful acoustic guitar brands in England. Now with a staff of seven and still based in Canterbury, they build approximately 350 guitars annually, each one still unique and entirely handmade. The passion with which these instruments are made radiates, and it's hard not to fall in love with both the sound and the look!
