Eastman's MD404 is een verfrissende toevoeging aan de standaard F en A mandolines die voorzien van F-gaten. Deze met-ovalen-klankgat-voorziene mandoline grijpt terug naar de dagen van de mandoline-orkesten, maar weet ook tegenwoordig spelers te verrassen en te inspireren met haar volle en gebalanceerde klank die leidt tot innovatieve toepassingen.
Deze Eastman is zoals elke individueel en met de hand gebouwd met traditionele materialen en "Old World" vakmanschap. De mahonie klankkast is gepaard met een sparren top, en gekoppeld aan een esdoorn hals met ebben toets. Het contrasterende rozet en de verstelbare brug maken dit instrument helemaal af.
