Deze gitaar met een mahonie bovenblad heeft een iets donkerdere klank dan de versie met sparren bovenblad.
Deze mini-dreadnought was eigenlijk bedoeld voor beginnende kinderen of voor reizende muzikanen, maar intussen is de baby Taylor al op veel verschillende manieren ingezet en wordt ze beschouwd als een serieus instrument met een mooie klank en heerlijke bespeelbaarheid.
