Zo wordt het sparrenhout voor de top lokaal gewonnen uit het noorden van Italië, de plaats waar ook de oude meesterbouwers als Stradivari en Guarneri hun hout vandaan haalden. Voor de overige onderdelen van de gitaar worden meer exotische houtsoorten als ziricote, Madagascar palissander, mahonie en Afrikaans ebben gebruikt. Hierdoor zijn de gitaren van Thomas een lust voor het oog!
Voor de constructie van de gitaren worden zowel inventieve als traditionele methoden gehanteerd. Zo heeft elk model zijn eigen type bracing voor een optimale klank. De halzen worden daarentegen volgens de beproefde Spaanse methode gemaakt om ongewenste spanning in het instrument te elimineren. Dit resulteert in een zeer stabiele en makkelijk te bespelen gitaar.
De SJ50 bevindt zich qua formaat tussen een OM en een Jumbo, en heeft een diepe bas en heldere hoge tonen met een krachtige projectie en meer dan voldoende volume met een goede sustain. Deze gitaar is gebouwd in 2021, en verkeert in excellente conditie. Op het bovenblad zijn lichte speelsporen en enkele dings te vinden, en hierop is ook een transparante slagplaat bevestigd. Verder is de gitaar bijzonder schoon, en hij is dankzij de LR Baggs Anthem pickup en strap button op de hiel helemaal klaar om op het podium gebruikt te worden!

The spruce for the top is sourced locally from northern Italy, the same place where master luthiers like Stradivari and Guarneri sourced their wood. More exotic woods like ziricote, Madagascar rosewood, mahogany, and African ebony are used for the other parts of the guitar. This makes Thomas guitars a feast for the eyes!
Both inventive and traditional methods are used in the construction of the guitars. Each model has its own type of bracing for optimal sound. The necks, on the other hand, are made according to the proven Spanish method to eliminate unwanted tension in the instrument. This results in a very stable and easy-to-play guitar.
The SJ50 is somewhere between an OM and a Jumbo in size and has deep bass and clear treble with powerful projection and ample volume with good sustain. This guitar was built in 2021 and is in excellent condition. The top shows light playwear and a few dings, and a transparent pickguard is also attached. Otherwise, the guitar is exceptionally clean, and thanks to the LR Baggs Anthem pickup and strap button on the heel, it's completely ready for stage use!
Comes with a TFOA passport in a Hiscox hardshell case.
Das Fichtenholz für die Decke stammt aus Norditalien, wo auch Meistergitarrenbauer wie Stradivari und Guarneri ihr Holz bezogen. Für die übrigen Teile der Gitarre kommen exotischere Hölzer wie Zirikote, Madagaskar-Palisander, Mahagoni und afrikanisches Ebenholz zum Einsatz. Das macht Thomas-Gitarren zu einer wahren Augenweide!
Beim Bau der Gitarren kommen sowohl innovative als auch traditionelle Methoden zum Einsatz. Jedes Modell verfügt über eine eigene Verstrebung für optimalen Klang. Die Hälse hingegen werden nach der bewährten spanischen Methode gefertigt, um unerwünschte Spannungen im Instrument zu vermeiden. Das Ergebnis ist eine sehr stabile und leicht zu spielende Gitarre.
Die SJ50 liegt in ihrer Größe zwischen einer OM und einer Jumbo und bietet tiefe Bässe und klare Höhen mit kraftvoller Projektion sowie reichlich Volumen und gutem Sustain. Diese Gitarre wurde 2021 gebaut und befindet sich in ausgezeichnetem Zustand. Die Decke weist leichte Spielspuren und einige Dellen auf. Ein transparentes Schlagbrett ist ebenfalls angebracht. Ansonsten ist die Gitarre außergewöhnlich sauber und dank des LR Baggs Anthem-Tonabnehmers und des Gurtknopfs am Fußende absolut bühnentauglich!
Wird mit TFOA-Pass in einem Hiscox-Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
