De AP5 wordt door gitaristen wereldwijd beschouwd als één van de beste pickups voor akoestische gitaren. Met dit in het achterhoofd is de opvolger, de AP5-Pro, ontwikkeld.
De AP5-Pro heeft nu aparte knoppen voor microfoon en piezo inputs waardoor deze twee kanalen onafhankelijk van elkaar en met elkaar gemixt kunnen worden. Het selectieve cardioid microfoon systeem zorgt ervoor dat je het volume veel hoger kan zetten voordat er feedback ontstaat. Deze nieuwe ge-upgrade microfoon is direct bevestigd aan de preamp met een verstelbare arm waardoor de positie van de microfoon makkelijk kan worden aangepast.

The AP5-Pro now features Separate Microphone and Piezo input controls allow for blending of both microphone and piezo levels prior to sending the actively combined signals through to the tone circuits and master volume. Highly selective cardioid microphone system allows for much greater microphone level before feedback in live environments. This newly upgraded microphone is direct mounted to the preamp casing via an adjustable arm, which permits easy final tweaking of microphone position to suit the individual artists style.
