La Leona, arguably Torres most famous guitar, was the inspiration to build this guitar. After thorough examination of the original guitar from 1856, Wolfgang Jellinghaus has built this extremely impressive instrument. The austere looks are true to the original while the well balanced and lively tone will please most classical players.

It is modeled after the original La Leona, which means it has a spruce top, cypress sides and a three piece cypress back of which the joints between the three parts are made of rosewood. Even the bracing, with seven centered fan strips and two V-shaped end strips, stays true to the original.
