The Lead channel delivers the classic 70s and 80s rock tones you crave, while the Clean channel has enough punch to naturally break up without the need for a boost pedal.

PRS developed the Archon Classic in response to guitarists who wanted the power of the original Archon, but with a more vintage-oriented gain structure. Amp designer Doug Sewell deliberately opted for a wider range of gain flavors, especially in the midrange, allowing you to go from bright clean tones all the way to the edge of breakup without any external devices. The result is an amplifier that satisfies both the modern player and the classic rock enthusiast, wrapped in a retro-inspired cabinet design that looks impressive on any stage.
