​The bouzouki is a traditional string instrument that originated in Greece, but has become an established part of Irish and Celtic music. This McNally SZ32 is a modern variant with a longer scale and a factory-tuned mandolin, making it particularly accessible for musicians who want to branch out to another acoustic instrument with its own character. It is a special instrument that you do not often come across, especially not of this quality!

This McNally SZ32 is completely hand-built in Ireland by luthier Ciarán McNally. He used premium materials, including solid Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. This wood is known for its warm bass response and clear tonal definition. The top is made of solid Sitka spruce, which provides good projection, clarity and a balanced tone. These woods combine to produce a tone that is bright and spacious, with plenty of warmth in the low end and sparkling highs – ideal for both chordal and melodic playing!

The body is finished with figured maple binding and a refined rosewood/maple/ebony purfling. The ebony fingerboard features a beautiful Celtic Knot inlay at the 12th fret, and the headstock features an ebony overlay. The Schaller Mini tuners with ebony buttons ensure precise and stable tuning. The McNally SZ32 comes in a Hiscox hardshell case and includes a certificate of authenticity, a tortoise pickguard and the TFOA passport.
