This 1988 Martin OM45 represents the pinnacle of Martin’s craftsmanship from the late 1980s. This OM45 combines exceptional tonal quality with the refined luxury of the Style 45 series. The instrument delivers the classic Martin sound at its most elegant: clear, balanced, and with a rich sustain.

The solid rosewood back and sides provide warm, deep basses and complex overtones, while the solid spruce top with scalloped X-bracing ensures a direct and articulate response. Martin demonstrates this perfectly with this beautiful 1988 OM45. Moreover, very few OM45s were produced in that year, making this example extremely rare and possibly the only one from 1988.

Considering its age, this 1988 Martin remains exceptionally well-preserved and is in very good condition. There is a small, centrally located crack on the top that has been neatly repaired, and a second small crack on the back that does not affect the structure. The nut has been replaced, and otherwise the guitar shows only minimal signs of play on the body and neck.
