Martin D28 Marquis Sunburst 2015

The Marquis series was produced until 2017 and has always been loved for its vintage character and modern playability. Moreover, only a few guitars in this series were made, making them increasingly rare!

The 2015 Martin D28 Marquis is a guitar that seamlessly combines vintage charm with modern reliability. The D28 Marquis combines typical features of Martin's "Golden Age" (1930-1940) with modern improvements. The Sunburst finish adorns the perfectly straight-grained Adirondack spruce top with forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing.

This top is combined with high-quality Indian rosewood for the sides and back; together, they create the beloved warm and refined tonal character with the incredible dynamics of a pre-war Dreadnought, allowing this guitar to handle any genre. Other vintage details include the herringbone decoration on the top, the 1930s-style ebony bridge with long saddle, the Golden Era logo on the headstock, and the Golden Era-style Diamonds and Squares Long Pattern inlays. 

The solid rosewood sides and back, combined with the Adirondack top, deliver a fantastic sound that comes to the fore in any musical setting. Its tone is rich and resonant, with a projection that effortlessly fills the room. Whether you strum or fingerpick, this guitar provides a sonic experience that captures the essence of Martin's Golden Era. The built-in K&K Trinity pickup with preamp ensures that this sound is also fully realized when amplified.

This 2015 D28 Marquis is in very good condition. There are signs of wear and a few dings on the top, as well as on the back of the body. The back of the neck has become shiny from playing, and some discoloration is visible on the heel cap. Furthermore, the bridge has been re-glued, making the guitar completely stable again! Comes with a TFOA passport in a TKL hardshell case.
