Inspired by the Authentic model, this Custom Shop D28 is a vintage-feeling guitar, but with the convenience of a modern instrument, featuring a truss rod for optimal setup and playability!

The Martin Custom Shop D28 1937 offers players the unmatched tonal quality of Martin’s Authentic Series combined with the practicality of a true workhorse. Martin’s highly regarded 1937 models are considered a cornerstone of performance and have set the standard for generations of instruments that followed. This guitar features specifications such as forward-shifted X-bracing, hide glue and cloth strip construction, and an adjustable truss rod, giving enthusiasts the reliability of an instrument that can be properly set up and maintained.

The guitar is built with an Indian rosewood body and an Adirondack spruce top with a thickness of 2.8 millimeters (0.110 inch). The mahogany neck features the particularly sturdy Soft V profile that is also found on the regular Authentic models, giving the guitar a unique playing feel. Herringbone purfling, together with Antique White binding, provides the decorative detailing of the body.

This Martin D28 was built in 2023 and is in excellent condition. Aside from its aged finish, the guitar shows only minimal signs of play. Overall, it is very clean and comes with a certificate of authenticity in a hardshell TKL case.
