Martin 00028 Custom Shop Wild Grain 2016

The 2016 Martin Custom Shop 00028 is an excellent example of Martin's mastery of craftsmanship, offering both stunning aesthetics and rich tonal qualities. With its classic 000 body shape and natural finish, this guitar is built to provide players with an instrument that delivers a clear and balanced tone while also being visually impressive. The guitar's top is made of solid Bearclaw Sitka spruce, known for its strength and ability to produce a dynamic and powerful sound. The back and sides are crafted from exceptional "Wild Grain" East Indian rosewood, adding warmth and depth to the guitar's tone. The bridge and fretboard are made of African Blackwood, accented with sapwood, offering a unique aesthetic, while the flamed mahogany neck with a Full Thickness profile ensures a comfortable playing experience.

In terms of details, the 00028 features, among other things, Madagascar rosewood binding and a herringbone rosette that provide an elegant appearance. The fretboard with a 16" radius ensures smooth playability, and the Waverly nickel open-gear tuners offer excellent tuning stability. With scalloped Sitka X-bracing, this Martin guitar offers improved resonance and response, making it perfect for a wide range of playing styles, from fingerpicking to strumming.

This Custom Shop 00028 has a few small dings and some light wear marks on the top, along with some superficial marks from presumably a stand in the center of the back. Some imperfections in the finish can also be found on the back of the headstock and near the nut, but the guitar is otherwise exceptionally clean.
