Manuel Adalid Homenaje Cedar 2024

Manuel Adalid, a renowned Spanish guitar maker, grew up in a family of guitar makers, with his father, Manuel Adalid Lázaro, as well as Francisco Esteve Calatayud and Antonio Monfort, as his teachers in the craft.

Adalid's lifelong passion for the craft has made him a respected figure in the world of guitar building, leaving a lasting impact. This guitar, part of the Manuel Adalid Series, is notable for its subtle yet elegant details, such as the headstock, purfling, and rosette. The guitar features improvements to various components to enhance both sound and performance, along with some interesting construction methods.

The Homenaje is a concert guitar with a double-shelled cedar top. The back and sides also utilize double-shelled construction, constructed of Ziricote and Cypess. The guitar is finished with nitrocellulose lacquer, a high-quality finish that enhances durability without sacrificing tone or resonance. With their flawless finish, smooth playability, and breathtaking tone, Manuel Adalid guitars are musical companions for life!

This Adalid was built in 2024 and is in excellent condition. Light playwear can be found on the top; Behind the bridge, near the armrest, and around the rosette, we see a few minor dings. There are also some small, superficial scratches on the back of the body, and on the side of the fingerboard, on either side of the 12th fret, some air has gotten under the lacquer, resulting in a white residue. Finally, the bridge saddle has been replaced to optimize the action.

The guitar comes in a hardshell case with a certificate of authenticity and a TFOA passport.
