Mach Concert Standard Spruce Rosewood

Jaroslav Mach began building guitars in 1975. It wasn't long before his instruments became highly sought after by Dutch and international professional guitarists.

After a stint in the United States and a restart in the Czech Republic, Jaroslav and his wife Melanie continued to build the brand. Melanie moved the workshop to the Netherlands after Jaroslav's death in 2020 and took over the entire construction process. Today, Mach Guitars combines traditional building techniques with modern elements like double tops and ergonomic beveled edges, with the goal of continuing to produce high-quality classical and steel-string guitars.

This Mach Concert Standard, with its clear tone and excellent projection, brings out the best in Alpine spruce. Czech luthier Jaroslav Mach has used his expertise to create an instrument that will delight both classical and crossover players, with a sound that is as versatile as it is impressive.

By using the Frische technique when installing the frets, the builder ensured optimal tunability and perfect intonation across the entire fretboard. This meticulous approach allows each note to ring true, offering exceptional clarity and balance in every position.

The builder also applied an ultra thin nitro lacquer to the top, allowing it to vibrate as freely as possible for maximum resonance and responsiveness. For the back and sides, a durable PU Acryl lacquer was chosen, combining stability and protection with a refined, elegant finish.

The solid Indian rosewood back and sides provide a rich fundamental tone and excellent sustain, while the fan bracing guarantees optimal resonance. The D-profile of the Honduran cedar neck offers a familiar playing experience, and the ebony fingerboard adds clarity to every note. This guitar plays equally well for intimate chamber music and concert hall performances.

The guitar comes with a TFOA passport and comes in a hardshell case.
