Kalli Tucka OM Lebanon Cedar

Under the name Kalli Guitars, Nico Kaiser builds custom-made guitars from sustainable materials such as local woods and vapour-free oils and lacquers. Each guitar is unique, and thanks to Kaiser's vast experience in instrument building, the guitars are of exceptional quality.

Born and raised in a quiet town in Thuringia, Nico Kaiser discovered his passion for music and guitar at an early age. After six years of music school and a lot of experience as a guitarist in various bands, he decided to specialise in instrument building. Although he initially built pianos at Grotrian-Steinweg, guitar making remained his true ambition. Today, he is based in the far south of Germany, near the border with Switzerland. Through self-study, he developed unique guitar designs and now has a portfolio of nine models, from parlor to jumbo.

The Orchestra Model is in the segment consisting of the compact guitar models, and is very popular among guitarists for its versatility. However, due to its wide nut and string spacing, this OM does invite more fingerstyle, and to optimise the sound, Kaiser has equipped the guitar with an innovative Pentabracing. This bracing allows for a thinner top, improving resonance and sustain. But the guitar not only has a beautiful sound, it also has a lot to offer visually!

The back and sides are made of Lebanese cedar, paired with a European spruce top with a herringbone rosette around the soundhole. The wenge bridge has a striking design, as does the fingerboard, which is made of wenge and maple. Lebanese cedar is also found on the headstock overlay, while the back features the particularly pleasing Gotoh 510 tuning machines. The attention to detail with which the subtle design elements are designed and finished show Nico Kaiser's craftsmanship!
