Huss & Dalton MJ Custom Hawaiian Koa Cedar 2011

This 2011 MJ Custom is certainly not just any guitar; it exemplifies the exceptional craftsmanship for which the Huss & Dalton brand is known!

The MJ is a mid-sized Jumbo from Huss & Dalton's extensive range, featuring an interesting combination of woods. The back and sides are crafted from a fantastic set of Koa, a wood that not only looks exceptionally beautiful but also delivers a superb tone with a focused midrange and beautiful clarity. The cedar top gives the guitar a quick response and acts as a compressor, amplifying soft notes and providing a lower volume ceiling than, for example, spruce.

At Huss & Dalton, traditional building techniques are combined with innovative approaches to maximize the potential of each instrument. Their guitars are handcrafted in small batches, using only the finest woods and materials. This MJ was built in 2011, as can be read in a luthier's note on the underside of the top. The top shows light playwear and a few minor dings, and there are also some very minor dings on the back of the neck. Otherwise, the guitar is exceptionally clean and comes with a TFOA passport in a Huss & Dalton tweed hardshell case.
