Hofner President LTD Edition Natural 2012

The 2012 Höfner President LTD Edition Natural is a rare find, with a production run of only 15 units worldwide. Hand-built in the workshop in Hagenau, this archtop breathes the tradition of classic jazz guitar making, where craftsmanship and material selection take center stage. The natural, thin lacquer finish allows the wood to come into its own and gives the guitar an open, elegant appearance that immediately evokes the heyday of the fifties.

The combination of a solid spruce top and smoked eucalyptus sides and back creates a rich and layered sound. The spruce top delivers a fast response and clarity, while eucalyptus adds warmth and depth, with beautifully balanced projection. The 16-inch body size offers just the right mix of comfort and volume, allowing this President to sound convincing both acoustically and amplified. The traditional ebony bridge and Höfner Lyre tailpiece contribute to direct transfer and a classic feel under the hand.

Equipped with two Höfner Diamond pickups, a three-way switch, and separate volume and tone controls, this guitar offers a wide palette of sounds, from warm jazz chords to more pronounced, clear lines. This Höfner is in excellent condition. Light signs of wear and a few dings can be found on the top and the side of the body, and the bindings have yellowed. There is also a small crack in the surround of the bridge pickup, but otherwise, the guitar is in neat used condition.
