When you come across a good Les Paul, you immediately know; you want to keep playing that! This cool-looking 1979 Les Paul Pro can certainly charm us in terms of playability, and it sounds great too! This 1979 Gibson Les Paul Pro Deluxe is from the brand's Norlin era, which lasted from 1969 to 1986. The guitar left the Gibson factory on 4 December 1979, as a Factory Second. These guitars had suffered minor imperfections in the finish during production, but were good enough for sale. Of course, after being played for a few years, the regular guitars had also undoubtedly earned their playing marks, so these Seconds are by no means inferior. In the 1980s, this Les Paul was fitted with a Kahler tremolo with a milling in the body. This tremolo was later removed, whereupon the milling was refilled and the guitar was given a new finish at this spot. Except for this part near the bridge, the guitar is still wrapped in its original finish, so we can say that this repair was done very professionally! On the neck, you can also see that the binding has been damaged in a few places, and a small portion of the finish has been worn off along the binding on the bass side from about the fifth to the tenth fret. The guitar otherwise has the play marks and dings you would expect from a 45-year-old instrument. Nevertheless, this Les Paul is a wonderfully playing guitar with a cool look due to its black and white colour scheme, which also sounds great thanks to its two P90s!The guitar comes with TFOA passport in the original Gibson Chainsaw case.
