The Gibson Custom 1964 ES-335 Reissue in Sixties Cherry captures the magic of one of Gibson’s most iconic semi-hollow guitars. After an extensive study of original vintage models, the Gibson Custom Shop has recreated every contour, color, and detail with remarkable accuracy. From the refined horn cutaways to the period-correct inlays and hardware, this reissue embodies the perfect balance between historic authenticity and modern playability.
The body is constructed from laminated maple with a solid maple center block, giving the ES-335 its signature clarity and sustain while keeping feedback under control. The one-piece mahogany neck with a medium C profile, scanned directly from an original 1964 model, provides a comfortable and familiar feel. It’s paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard featuring small block inlays that complete the classic look.
Under the hood, a set of Custombucker Alnico III pickups delivers the warm, articulate tone that made the ES-335 legendary—rich mids, singing sustain, and crisp dynamics that respond beautifully to touch and technique. Combined with vintage-style wiring and hardware, the 1964 Reissue captures the sound and soul of the golden era of Gibson craftsmanship.
This Gibson Custom 1964 ES-335 Reissue is finished in stunning Sixties Cherry with a VOS treatment, giving it that gently aged, vintage patina. A masterful blend of heritage and performance, it’s a guitar that feels as inspiring as it looks. Comes in its original hardshell case with a TFOA passport.
