Inspired by the holy grail of vintage acoustic instruments, the guitar makers in Montana have painstakingly crafted a J45 that is structurally and component-wise similar to the most popular and celebrated version.

The new 1942 Banner J45 features a thermally aged Adirondack spruce top that is hand-sprayed with a historic-style sunburst, hot hide glue top bracing for enhanced tonal response, and a bone nut and saddle. This model is known for its full, balanced expression, warm bass, and excellent projection. The classic combination of a spruce top with mahogany back and sides delivers a tone with enhanced dynamic range, warm midrange, and tight lows.

It is Heavy Aged by the skilled craftsmen at Murphy Lab. The Murphy Lab Heavy Aged finish, combined with aged hardware, simulates decades of light wear, giving it the unique character, vibe and feel of an original Gibson Golden Era piece. The guitar comes with a TFOA passport and is in a hardshell case.
