As always with Atkin, Alister and his team have created an incredible guitar. This is a guitar for players who crave a big, bright tone with exceptional overtones and a delicate, clean sound. This design, also known as the Parlor, is one of the smallest acoustic guitars available. 1936 was a great year for the Parlor's design, and the "Thirty Six" draws inspiration from those same guitars at a time when they were becoming a crucial part of American folk and blues music.

And this L36 Deluxe is no ordinary guitar! Atkin has chosen a particularly beautiful Argentine Grey finish with lightly crackled nitrocellulose. This beautiful little guitar features a carefully selected baked Sitka spruce top. Combined with hand-scalloped bracing, it delivers a tight, full tone perfect for both folky fingerpicking and blues-style flatpicking. The mahogany neck is topped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard that feels smooth, well-balanced, and ready to play. This provides an authentic and extremely comfortable playing experience and is a true testament to the incredible work currently being done by Atkin.

Atkin Guitars was founded by Alister Atkin in Canterbury, England, in 1995. What began as a one-man operation with just a handful of unique guitars each year has steadily grown into one of the most successful acoustic guitar brands in England. Now with 16 employees and still based in Canterbury, they build approximately 750 guitars annually, each one still unique and entirely handmade. The passion with which these instruments are made shines through, and it's hard not to fall in love with both the sound and the look!
