Lowden O32C 50th Anniversary Edition 2024

This Lowden O32C was built in honor of Lowden's 50th anniversary. This guitar is part of a special series of 120 unique instruments, each a testament to Lowden's unparalleled craftsmanship and dedication to excellence. This limited series was available through a limited number of retailers, including The Fellowship of Acoustics, and is a wonderful opportunity to own a piece of Lowden's legendary legacy.

The Original Series was Lowden's first series in 1976, with the O-model being George Lowden's original design. Within Lowden's Original Series, there is a choice of various body shapes and different tonewood combinations. The 32 Series was introduced in the 1980s and has been the standard and best-selling Lowden for all those years.

This O32c features Indian rosewood back and sides, a fine-grained Sitka spruce top, maple binding, and a 5-piece mahogany and rosewood neck. Also striking are the rosewood bridge and gold Gotoh tuning machines with ebony knobs. The mother-of-pearl Lowden logo and the 50 Years Anniversary inlay on the headstock celebrate this special milestone.

The O32c jumbo with cutaway is renowned for its impressive piano-like response, which makes it perfect for fingerstyle. However, naturally, this powerful guitar can also be used exceptionally well for strumming. It is also one of the few instruments that is exceptionally well-suited for drop tunings.

This Lowden O32C 50th Anniversary features various signs of wear on the top and body, such as light scratches and a few dents. Wear marks can also be found on the neck in the form of the lacquer becoming shiny on the back of the neck, as well as a few scratches and dents on the headstock. The guitar is also equipped with an LR Baggs EAS pickup and comes with Lowden documentation and a TFOA passport in an Ameritage case.
